Krispy Kreme - Krispi Na! Kreme Pa!

I'm not really into sweets! o kung sa sariling wika ko isasalin ay ganito lang naman yon: "di ako mahilig sa mga matatamis na pagkain".

Cakes, pastries, candies, tarts, and doughnuts - Oh boy! don't gift me with those or else your effort will just be wasted and disappointment would just slaps you right in your face. So, never ever give me one.

And what's the science behind my disliking of it? Naks...may science pa pala sa likod nito..wahahaha.

Basically, I'm a guy whose taste buds maybe was designed for a bit spicy or yong tipong "the opposite of sweets".

Last night, while Ryan and I were waiting for the other group who scouted for a new flat - a family flat to be exact, we decided to drop by to Krispy Kreme just to kill the time. So, pagkatapos kung bisitahin ang palikuran (ang lalim ng tagalog..lol) we went towards the counter where the two Arab guys are waiting for our order.

And here's what we got:

Chocolate custard & Original glazed flavored doughnuts with Hot Cappuccino

Chocolate Custard + Original Glazed = YUMMY

Bachelor's dining area

Another set of bachelor's dining area

And also this one - bachelor's dining area

Varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts
On the left tray: Choocolate Custard + Original Glazed + Hot Cappuccino
On the right tray contains-- Ice Cafe Latte and Labne Zaatar Pull Apart
Where in the world can you find such a name "LABNE ZAATAR PULL APART" only in KSA...lol.. Well, it's how they call it here..respect...respect.

Krispy Kreme here in KSA isn't that much of a hype. For us it is just a normal doughnut store offering usual doughnuts and coffee (hot and cold). But when I went back in Pinas last December I was in total awe when I realized how fancy it is to dine inside it. I was like. HUMAYGAD! really? Is it really a fad here? I mean, they say that if you eat daw sa Krispy Kreme...sosyal na daw..LoL..I was laughing out loud.

We entered in one of its outlet in the fancy Serendra alleys in Bonifacio High Street and I observed the type of people going in. Alas! it was true, mga sosyal or pa-soyal nga ang pumapasok...hahaha. And I even saw some folks carrying with them as a pasalubong sa house nila to a niece or nephew maybe. And when people manage to peek in it parang iba ang dating sa kanila.

And last night experience sealed my doubts, masarap nga siya..hmmmm..pero for me it is still one of the normal sweet foodies na di pa rin bebenta sa akin in the long run. On a patikim tikim basis lang naman kasi ako.

That's all folks!

Until my next entry. Godbless. :)

  1. Haha! But there are other Krispy Kreme branches around Metro Manila. Megamall branch is quite solid and consistent catering to a larger market segement ;)

  3. Yeah, Krispy Kreme's pretty good. I actually think they have good coffee. Pero ANG TAMIS! That's why I usually just get the original glazed or their baked creations so minus the heart-stopping amount of icing and cream. :P

    1. Like me, original glazed din lang ang nagustuhan ko kasi it's not too sweet. The good thing is that "for free" lang siya
