Sunday's Reflection

In the middle of reading Paulo Coelho's "Like A Flowing River" I came across statements that definitely struck me like a lightning.

So, I pleasurably took photo of it. And if it's a real one - then - I won't mind being a victim. If that lightning brings refinement in my soul I would willingly subject myself in it.

Why? It is because it nourished my soul.

Of course, I won't let the day pass without sharing it to you.

And since I'm slowly detaching myself from excessive hours of exposure in Facebook, I decided to make it a blog entry. Why not? hehe!

I know the photos speak for itself but I'd want to write it again and here it goes:

"The test of man then is not, "How how have I believed"? BUT "How have I loved"? The final test of religion is not religiousness, but LOVE, not what I have done, not what I have believed, not what I have achieved, but how have I discharged the common charities of life. Sins of commission in that awful indictment are not even referred to. By what we have not done, by sins of omission, we are judged. It could not be otherwise. For the withholding of love is the negation of the Spirit of Christ, the proof that we never knew Him, that for us He lived in vain. The glory of the world is transitory, and we cannot measure our lives by it, only by the decision we make to follow our personal legend, to believe in our utopias, and to fight for them. Each of us is the protagonist of our own life. and often it is the anonymous heroes who leave the most enduring marks..

I find these statements very powerful that led me to drown deep into my thoughts and contemplate. I don't need to put a follow-through explanation. Just by reading it says enough.

By the way, I had several back logs in my draft that I'm still working on. The reason why I don't have new entries is - because I cannot upload accompanying photos for the each entry since I'm still updating my iPhoto photo editor. Plus, I've been loaded with things lately. Also, I've been meaning to read updates from blogger-friends sites but time is of constraint lately. I will surely visit once time allows me.

Blessed Sunday to all

  1. napakahusay talagang magsulat ni Paulo Coelho, di ko alam kung saan niya nakukuha ang mga malalalim niyang pananaw, meron ba siyang nakakausap na di natin nakikita? hehehe :)
