About Twenty Thirteen: What Lies Ahead Is Up To Us

Recently, we have just closed the last leaf of our book for twenty-twelve. Part of closing is making peace and reconciliation to every minuscule of rifts we have had. We have to or else we will be haunted by our unresolved past and moving on and ahead will be difficult for us. Have you had done it? - if any? 

As for me, I always find "me time" to contemplate and reflect on the past year and talk to God - thanking Him, asking forgiveness for shortcomings and mistakes done, and asking for guidance for a brand new year. 

Way back in the Philippines, I usually go to the "Blessed Sacrament" in "Nature Church" located in Moonwalk - Las Pinas - where I started my SFC (Single for Christ) life and served as a choir member even though for a short span of time. If you don't know the place - paki- google na lang hehe! The Italian Architect who maintains the church's structure is a good friend of mine. How did we became friends? - Well, his daughter to a Filipina was once my grade school student. FYI - I taught grade school English and Computer subjects in a private school owned by my dear Tito in Las Pinas. That was long ago hehe! Way back 2004  until 2007. 

In 2012, we have our glitzy glories - those were what made us jumped for joy, we have our share of sorrows - those were what made us eclipsed and encapsulated in despair, and we have our high hopes as well - those were what propelled us to keep moving and get going. 

Tough as it may seem, we need to move ahead and continue our journey. We are about to open another interesting chapter in our book of life. There is no second chances in it. We cannot take back what we have done. We cannot redo what we did. So, we must aim to be an ace actor/actress in our life's film. The best thing is to rely to our great director - God Himself. Our actions if it lacks His directions will never be fruitful in the long term and in the long run.

What's with twenty-thirteen is definitely up to us and by the graces and will of God. We run our lives, we devise our plans and we, alone, execute it. Along the way, we will meet people who will impart helpful insights and learnings as we journey forward. 

The beauty of our journey depends upon us. Surely, there will be topsy turvy rides that will occur. Yet, it is in our grace on how to respond to it with steady and committed pursuit. It lies on how we creatively and tactically take every pace and every stride. And on how graceful we walk through it. At times, we need to run - let us not forget while running to equip ourselves with the necessary knowledge and technical know-how - these things can spice up our quest for a beautiful story of our 2013.

Remember to always think positive while making things happen. The beauty of our dreams is skillfully mastered by how deep we imagine things and how convicted we are to make it realized. There is a truth in the saying that "nothing is impossible' - only those who have challenged their limits would say "It's worth every ride." 

I always believe in this saying: "Ordinary people believe only in the possible while extraordinary ones visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by doing so, they begin to see it as possible."

Are we ready for an awesome and energy-filled ride this 2013? What lies beyond the labyrinth of our dreams is always up to us to unfold. Keep dreaming, keep believing, and keep making things happen. And while doing all these, be sure to keep yourself grounded and grow in faith.
