Let's Have A "Date" Soon

I know what you're thinking! It's obvious. I have a mental telepathic ability - haha!

Many of you would have guessed or initially thought - that the title speaks of a real date to a person. Am I right or am I right? - haha!

No - it's not. The "date" that I'm speaking of is a "book date" - and perhaps it won't just end as a one time engagement only but a commitment of lifelong effect.

Yes, I've made up my mind. I really did.

Old Stuff, Old Memories

Earlier, I was busy sorting out my old stuff I left in my sister’s house in Cavite – of course, that includes many of my books.

Upon seeing them neatly tucked inside the cabinet, lots of memories had flashed back.

Each book I saw hold its own story.  I had to sort them out since I am planning to donate some of my pre-loved items to our PBO's Bazaar For A Cause slated on February 14, 2013. The same day where hearts will be the blooming attraction of that particular day.

About Books, Of New Formed Friendship, and Of Personal Messages: BOOKS' RECIPIENTS

I have been meaning to post this entry a week back but due to my usual busy schedule it took a while for this entry to surface on the bloggers' world.

Pardon me guys! I know there are lots of both interesting and gruesome topics that are too tempting to discuss or share views with but those are not my interest as of now.

If you are a follower or a frequent visitor of this blog, perhaps you are aware that I had a blog contest recently. To be exact, it was in mid-November when I designed my birthday blog contest.

As promised to the recipients (I'm talking about the winners), I will write/put a personal dedication message to each of the book as a gesture of a newly-formed friendship between the winners and me. BUT, it doesn't mean that having these personal messages limits my friendship to the winners. Of course, all my blogger friends are important to me. I'm just obeying a promise to them (winners).

Of Books, The Smell Of It, And The Love For It

When I was in my pre-school age I knew I wanted to write. I can remember the time when I used crayons as my writing pen when there was no pencil to be found. I used to write on the sand, on banana leaves and even the body part of it, in our window grills made of bamboo, on top of our table. Several occasions where I was reprimanded by doing vandalism..hahaha..bata pa lang vandal na hahaha. I just have the love for it. I even found myself using the edge of my pointing finger and scratching on top of our table as if I'm writing something while having our lunch or dinner. My tatay would normally get pissed off as he doesn't want to play while in front of the grace of God. He's right but I can't help it...matigas lang ang ulo..hahaha!

But reading? Hell no....I don't love it then. It was the last thing in my mind. I can vividly remember during my first Grade in school where in I was called by my teacher to read in front of the class as part of our reading drill. Wow man!--I am literally shaking and my palms were cold and wet. I knew I can't read fluently that's why I was so afraid to be called in front. Adding to the pressure was the bullying of my classmates. But I'm good in school. I finished the first grade ranking fifth overall. The only thing that bothered me then was reading. It's not that I can't read at all but I just don't love the idea. It annoys me.

Three Books In A Cool Tuesday Night

Accidental purchase -- maybe or maybe not?

Perhaps what triggered me to have these books is basically my intense desire to read it. As a book lover, reading books for me is like smoking a weed - speaking of that restricted weed or so called "pot". It is so addicting that removing that habit is so extremely difficult for me that it could not complete a day or a month not having it in anyway. It's like it should be in a place where it can easily be sighted, one of which should be beside me when I sleep at night.

The three books I purchase
